Project Background:
As part of the research and celebration of 2022 Asian American Pacific Islands (AAPI) heritage month, the SOM’s Asian Alliance group presented a short video documentary to the global office of over a thousand employees. With the goal to amplify Asian culture, advocate for local communities, and spread social awareness, we journeyed through the Chinatown in NYC; and interviewed four local community members, each with their unique view on Chinatown’s cultural significance and the socio-political impacts to the Asian heritage.
